Q&A With David & Danielle Bell
Name and age
David & Danielle Bell, 44 and 45
I am originally from Colorado Springs, CO, and Danielle is a Florida native, originally from Jacksonville, but we have both been in Orlando over 20 years now.
How do you pay the bills?
I am a Manufacturer’s Rep In wholesale sales and Danielle is a Registered Nurse for Halifax Hospice and Orlando Lutheran Towers.
What do you create?
My only creations typically come out of the kitchen but Danielle is a DIY fanatic. She has re-created everything from a kitchen hutch out of office furniture to a bench sitting in our foyer that was once a dresser.
How did you land in Orlando?
I came to Orlando in 1996 to compete in the Nightclub & Bar DJ Spin Off at Pleasure Island. Walt Disney World offered me a job to DJ at 8 Traxx so I dropped everything and moved to Orlando. Danielle moved here in 1996 and soon went to work for Southwest Airlines.
Do you hold an annual pass? If so, to which park?
Yes, we have a Disney family pass for the first time in over 20 years and we have absolutely loved it.
What is the last book you read?
“The Motivation Manifesto” – A short read but life changing nevertheless.
Name your favorite tattoo
I have several but my favorite is the full sleeve I will have one day when the kids no longer need to eat.
Last thing you ate at a food truck?
My last food truck visit was in downtown St Cloud and I had such a good time people watching I can’t remember what I ended up ordering.
What is your favorite farmers’ market and why?
I love the one at Lake Eola downtown. I can bring my dogs and there are lots of great foods to eat for me and the pooches.
Butterbeer, Dole whip, or _______?
I have no idea what those are??
Springs, lakes, or oceans?
We are an ocean-bound family, for sure. We often comment that our current house is our savings plan for a future boat that we plan to retire on.
Only in Orlando moment?
Appearing with Daphne, our pit bull, in the Citrus Bowl Parade.
Dog person or cat person?
Since we only have three dogs—two chihuahuas and a pit bull—I guess that says it all.
If you could change one thing about Orlando, what would it be?
That’s tough to say since I fell in love with this town the minute I got here, but I think I would like to see the SunRail come to Lake Nona
Where can we find you on the web?
You can find us individually on Facebook and Instagram where you’ll typically find me swooning over my beautiful wife and the fairytale life we’ve created together.
